Onion soup recipe - Pyaaz ka soup

 Hi foodies,

Onion soup is something not very common. But trust me, it is super yummy. I had first had it in a restaurant, years ago. And since then, I've been a fan of this soup.

So today I'll be sharing the Onion soup recipe with you all. Onion or pyaaz is a common ingredient found at everyone's home. So let's see how easy and quick it is to make this soup!

Onion Soup Recipe-

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2-3 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions (finely chopped)
  • 4-5 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp spring onions (for garnish)
  • Salt as per taste

Method:

1. Heat a pan and add butter to it. Add the onion and garlic to it.

2. Once the onions turn translucent, add 1 cup water to the pan.

3. Bring the onion and garlic to boil and then turn off the gas.

4. Once the onion and garlic have cooled down, shift this mix to a blender. Blend into a smooth paste.

5. Add this paste to a pan and then add 1 cup of water to it. Cook this paste for 5-7 minutes.

6. You may now add black pepper and salt to the paste above.

7. The consistency of the soup should be like any other soup. Your soup is now ready to serve!

Notes-

1. You may add chili flakes and oregano, to enhance the flavours.

2. You can add fresh cream while serving it hot.

3. This soup stays fresh for 2 days.
