Veg Steamed Momos

Hi foodies,

Momos are a simple snack inherited from traditional Nepali cuisine. It has become a popular street food in India. It is typically served with a red spicy chutney.

Veg steamed Momos are made of plain flour, with a filling of vegetables of your choice. You can make them with any leftover vegetables as well. Momos can be made in various shapes. I'll show you a very simple and basic one today.

7. Fill the stuffing in each circle and fold it in the form of a semi-circle.

8. Now join both the edges of the semi-circle to form this unique momo shape.

9. Prepare the rest of the momo pieces in a similar manner.

10. Heat a steamer and start arranging the momos in the tray, without touching each other.

11. Steam the momos for 15 minutes or until a shiny coating appears on their skin.

12. Hot and steaming momos are ready to be served along with chutney or sauce of your choice.

Notes:

1. Knead the dough well and let it rest for 15 minutes at least.

2. Steam the momos just before serving, as it ensures the best taste.

3. You can make the stuffing or shapes of your choice.

I keep the vegetable filling balanced in spice, as I like to serve it with a spicy sauce. I enjoy steam momos more than fried momos. What do you enjoy more? Let me know in the comments section below.
