New beginnings in the Lockdown

Hello.
We are all living in the times of Corona virus. Who would've thought that a tiny virus, could wreck the world around us? Most of the countries have declared a lockdown to flatten the curve of the speeding pandemic. So, we've all been home for almost two months and learnt a lot. Taking charge of the home kitchen, mopping the floor, washing utensils, spending time with family, doing courses online and working out, have been a few things which we all have faced during this lockdown. The year 2020, is surely going to be remembered in history.
According to me, most importantly, it took a lockdown, for all of us to recognise our inner chefs! Are you one of those new chefs? Then this blog is for you. If not, don't worry. I've got something in store for you too.
Cooking during the lockdown has become common people love cooking. It is a new hobby
People are utilising their time by learning how to cook and bake in the kitchen. The new chefs have been posting pictures of their cooking outcomes, on their social media handles. In fact, food photography seems to be of great interest to the people. I am surely one of the those people, whose love for food and cooking has increased passionately during this lockdown. I'm even interested in food photography and try thinking of creative props and backdrops. The Indian culture has so much diversity, that you have an endless list of the possible things to cook. I have tried to capture my creative instinct in pictures and am sharing them with you through this blog.
Honey chilly potato is a very famous dish. Potato when combines with honey and chilly gives a great taste

Since the restaurants and malls are shut, people need to satisfy their cravings somehow! In fact, trying to cook the dishes you're longing for, can be a lot of fun. With the availability of internet, we have all the information at a single touch. There has been a rise in the number of viewers of YouTube recipes, foodstagrammers sharing recipes, Facebook food stories, Zoom webinars related to food, and a lot more. Cheers to the strong supply network in our country, that we have almost all ingredients available in the market, even during such a situation. Gear up, if I can do this, so can you!
Mango rabdi is very famous Indian traditional dessert. It is mangolicious.

At this time, people are getting creative with food. The idea of this blog is to tell you that cooking is not so tough. In fact, it is like a therapy. You do not necessarily need to have all the culinary skills. All you need to do is, just start. I am a beginner too and am loving the learning experiences! You can look forward to this blog to provide you with recipes, restaurant reviews, quick fixes, tricks to preserve food for longer time, food photography and many more things, related to food.
Criss cross stuff bread is a common bakery item. It is easy to make and very healthy.

As for me, I never knew that my own kitchen could be a hub to curate unique experiences. I definitely enjoy cooking at home, but at the same time, I can't wait for the restaurants to open as well. Until then, stay home, stay safe, and happy cooking! 😁

Yours foodly,
Sakshi.
